im looking at the glock 23 for conceal carry although im wondering or not how heavy it would be to carry for more then a few hours. and does anyone have pics they could upload of the following.
inside the waistband holsters for the glock 23.
outside the waistband holsters
different sights for nightime use.
thanks.
also does sweat from the body affect the finish on the glock or will a daily cleaning keep it fine.

I carry an XD45C all day long, and and with a proper gun belt the weight is not a problem. For reference, empty G23 = 21 oz., empty XD45C = 29 oz.

For holsters, I use a Comp Tac C-Tac IWB holster. I like it just fine, but don't have any pictures for you. I'm sure they make one for the Glock you're looking at too.

For sweat, unless you're really pouring it out, a good wipe down at the end of the day is sufficient. If I plan on sweating, I wear an undershirt and tuck it in between my body and the holster.

I carry my Glock 19 (dimensionally the same as your G 23) in a Blade-Tech UCH and really like it. I also use a regular Fobus paddle. They both hide easy under an untucked shirt.

I carry a G33 all the time. I've found that a very good holster belt is essential to making carry more comfortable.

My holster is nothing fancy, just a Desantis OWB. I also have a paddle holster somewhere but I don't use it often: it puts the gun at an angle that causes it to protrude too much.

I "balance" out the weight of the gun by carrying two spare mags on my left side. This particular arrangement can be carried all day w/o any negative impact to me. Oh, I also carry a G22 from time to time and I've had no issues with its weight.

Sweat (and I'm in Texas) has had no impact on the finish of any of my carry guns.

Hope this helps.

Great quality pancake holsters are available from a number of makers for the G19 /23. Get a good open-top pancake & you will not even notice the gun. I carry a full sixed 1911 with this rig & it carries nearly twice the weight of your G23.

I carry 12-14 hours a day and a G-19 is one of my choices. My son uses a G-23 for the same reasons. I choose a Wild Bill's No Such Agency IWB, my son a Erice Larson HBE IWB. Both are extremly comfortable. For OWB we have both gone to the Blackhawk Serpa.
I just completed another LFI course and the Golck 23 was a common gun, most carried IWB and no one complains about the weight.

I carry my G23 all day in a Comp-Tac Spartan holster. I've found that it's not so much the weight of the gun, but the gun belt and the size of your pants that make ALL the difference. You've probably heard that your wardrobe shrinks when you decide to carry IWB. Well, that is very true. I have a 33-34 waist by the size pants I wear. With my rig I find a size 36 pants ever so slightly snug. The most comfortable pants I have are size 36 Tru-Spec 24/7 tactical pants - they have a stretchy waistband that has just enough extra give to be comfortable (and those pants rock for a lot more reasons too). For a gunbelt I have a 1-1/2" bullhide gun belt handmade by Jim Speidel at TheBeltman.net. If you've never tried a really good gunbelt, you have no idea what you're missing. I thought I bought good belts before, until I got my gunbelt from Jim. It's all about support. I haven't encountered any issues with sweat and I've worn my rig against the skin a few times - by far the most uncomfortable way to carry it. I always opt for a tee-shirt tucked in and a larger shirt over that for concealment.
OWB holsters are not viable for me, but I do highly recommend Blade-Tech Stingray holsters for the range.
Nightsights are your choice. Most on the market are solid. I have Meprolights on my G23 with no complaints.
