Concealed carry 9mm for a slim person

Agreed, MarshallDodge. I've been wary of the IWB carry, because of the "keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction," but if it's holstered in anything but a shoulder rig pointed behind you, it's pointed at you in some way at some time. The autos these days all seem to have fairly redundant and solid safety mechanisms. The LC9 seems to have a good setup, even without the manual safety.

You aught to consider the AIWB carry. It works well for people with athletic builds. I'm 5'11 195, athletic build, and I can appendix carry a single stack Kahr or 1911 with just a t-shirt.

+1 on appendix carry. I'm 6'2 - 210 and I can carry pretty much anything I want appendix iwb If you have a decent size chest and shoulders your shirt should have a good bit of room around the stomach. Just let your shirt hang. I would think it would be harder to conceal around a gut actually.

I have the same problem as you. 5'8" and 140 lbs. I usually carry a Kahr K40 Covert, but I just went out and put money down on a Kahr P380 for this summer. I usually just wear a t-shirt and jeans as well. I would suggest waiting a little bit for the Kahr CM9 to hit the stores and take a close look.

If you have the chance check out the new Kimber 'Solo'. I don't own one myself but, I had the chance to play with one at the local store. I don't like striker fired pistols normally, I've shot 1911's far too long to fall in love with the long trigger pull.

That being said, the trigger on the Solo was smooth as silk and not heavy at all. If I was in the market for a slim 9mm, the Solo would be hard to eliminate from the running. The magazine was 6 rounds, which to some is too few, but if the scenario takes more than 6 rounds... carry an extra mag, they're small too.

I have a fairly slim build and opted for the Kel-Tec P11 for concealed carry. I usually wear it under an untucked shirt in a Fobus paddle holster, or often have it in the side pocket of a 5.11 tactical undershirt. The "safety" on the P11 is the fact that you must pull the trigger all the way back for it to fire, and it is a long pull of about 12 pounds...or so it feels.

HK P7 PSP. You can get good deals on them right now. I'm 6'0" and 170 lbs with an athletic build and it conceals very well on my frame.

I just got a NIB S&W 908S. Shoots like a wet dream. Small enough to carry just about anywhere...and, no, my gut is flat enough to see my pecker if I look down..........

Very heavy and overly thick grip IMHO....

But you can get a nice used Grade B for $499 these days.
