Hey guys. Great news today. I logged onto the Arkansas State Police website to check the status of my CHL that I applied for in mid-February and it says, "License issued". Woo Hoo!!!!

Now, I've been doing a little thinking about carry options (should have had it figured out by now I know). I work at a law firm and have the green light from my boss to carry. However, in the firm, 90%+ of the time, I'm in dress slacks with a dress shirt tucked in. What holster options would you guys suggest? I've looked at n82 tactical and they look pretty good. Any opinions about them?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ankle holster a j frame or sub compact. Or iWb on strong side and keep your suit coat on.

If you're not required to wear white dress shirt a dark dress shirt can hide a tuckable iwb holster and gun.

Paul, while the 709 is pretty slim, you might want to tuck it in your waist band and carry it around the house and see how you like it.
IWB isn't for everybody, and you wouldn't be the first to drop some $$ on a holster just to find out how uncomfortable it is.

I understand what you're saying rayban. However, in my situation, IWB is pretty much the only option. Ankle holsters suck, and my weapon is too large for pocket carry.

highorder, thanks. That looks good and is half the price of the n82 Professional.

I carry my PT709 in a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB, inside khaki pants and sport shirts. I find it very comfortable.

My two cents worth: Wear a sturdy belt (mine is 1.5" leather), allow for about a two week break-in for a holster such as the Supertuck, and wear the holster at 4 to 4:30 on your hip. The clips will show, but I've only had one person ask me about them and I just said it's for a medical device. They didn't ask any other questions. YMMV.

Well, my funds are not great at the moment, so I went with a DeSantis Soft Tuck. It is comfortable when wearing a shirt untucked, but although it is tuckable, the bulge is very noticeable with the shirt tucked in. I was wore it to church Sunday and just went with a dress shirt untucked. Didn't want to print that badly.

The Taurus 709 is a little small to need an IWB holster for. So pocket or ankle carry will be your best bet with the edge going for pocket carry. I would recommend a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.

I carry a Taurus 709 slim in a Tagua ambidextrous IWB holster. It carries easily, but I don't tuck my shirt in. An IWB holster that you can tuck a shirt around would work.

Depending on your size and body shape, the 709 has quite a few carry options.

I like the versa carry, it's the smallest thing I have found, and sit's well wherever you put it. I have 2 now, and they are perfect for that size gun.
