Just by way of explaining why I posted this: John Williams, as fair a guy as you could ever hope to hear on the radio, had one of the legislative sponsors of the current concealed carry legislation on the air this morning. His questions were fair and I think he gave the legislator a chance to fully explain the rationale behind the bill. I left for work shortly thereafter, so I don't know if a contrary view was presented.
However, around these parts there is a very concerted effort by the political powers that be to "manage" the media by calling in favors . . . to flood stations with phone calls, vote in polls, etc. It seems to me that it is sometimes necessary to make a concerted effort to counter this type of tactic.
The current poll is split at roughly 59% in favor of concealed carry and 41% against, but a relative small number have "voted," so it could change if a concerted effort is made by the anti-gun pols.
