I already visited this thread when it was opened, but have since noticed the OP's nick. I take it you're delivering pizza for a living or extra money?
This is something I have done off and on for coming up on thirty years now. Full-time at first (way back!) and PT since. I still do it one night a week.
Over the years, I have been set up for robbery at least a handful of times, but have always "sniffed it out" before anything could go down, and was able to self-extract.
Visit the sticky at or near the top of the discussion board here:
www.tipthepizzaguy.com/discussion for more on robbery-prevention tactics. The rest of the board has slid downhill in the decade or so it's been open, but there's still some interesting stuff there.
Be safe.
Incidentally, I carry a P32 in a front pocket while running pies, and keep my PF-9 stuffed between my seats for "run-up" ambush situations. I carried that PF9 on my belt until earlier this year when our uniform standard changed to require shirts to be tucked in.
It's unlikely I'll be targeted again if seen first, though. Too many people mistake me for (still) being in law enforcement.
