Stop worrying about "no free lunch" with alternate grips.
My 3" GP100 came with the big Hogues, which were fine at the range, but certainly made concealment hard.
I put on the compact Lett's, which I got a great deal on from eBay. Carrying is at least twice as easy. Plus, I have no problem shooting the hottest commercial 357 magnum loads.
But then, my previous 357 was a 2.5" Model 19, and I shot it with the small wood Magna grips and a Tyler t grip...no problem at all.
It's all in your grip.
If I had not found the Lett grip, I would try the very nice wood grips from Thailand on eBay. I've read some great reports on them, the price isn't bad, and they are beautiful.
