I remember a long time ago, in the back of Guns and Ammo (I think) there were ad's for companies selling Jackets, Jeans, Shirts etc with concealment in mind, that is to say, some had "holster" pockets built in, some had extra fabric in specific places to "cover" a weapon with, but not look out of place etc.....
Are items such as these still available (I know there was a link to a leather vest posted in a thread but not sure which one at the moment) Im really looking for places that have items in a variety of designs and material choices if anyone has a link(s) please post them
Thanks

Actually Im looking more for clothing designed to carry, such as those with built in holster pocket etc.....but thanks for responding :)

If any one has a particular "brand"/company they would recommend please mention "why" you recommend them in your response

You can never go wrong with 5.11 gear. I've got the vest, two pair of pants, shorts and one button up shirt. They are all fairly heavy duty and great for all manner of gear.

I'd stick to what ever you normally wear and adjust it if necessary to hide a good holster. Most of the clothes made to carry a pistol look like what they are and are usually pretty easy to spot, especially the vests. If you wear what you always wear, you dont need anything special and dont look any different with or without the gun.

Cabelas North Slope Parka.

No, seriously. Works great in winter. It would look out of place in summer of course.

I've tended to avoid these topics to avoid giving offense, but sometimes I just can't help myself...

I work in a large bulding in a large city surrounded by lots of other large buildings. A building two blocks down has a lunch court. Wiithin a four block radius are the main police station, the county sheriff's dept., the county and city courts, etc.

Easy entertainment during a solo lunch is to spot the guys carrying (plain clothes LEO, bldg. sec., etc.). If I see one or more of the following:
"high and tight" hair cuts
tactical knife clips on front pockets
more than one piece of black clothing
pants with more than four pockets
black tactical boots with street clothes
"photographer's" vest
Oakley sunglasses
age - 20's to mid-thirties

Then I look to see where they are carrying. Usually it is not too hard.

All of which is a round-a-bout way of saying wear what you would normally wear if you don't want to be marked. But seriously, I'm not trying to offend anyone that likes the tactical look, it's just that it tends to send a message you may or may not want to convey. I hadn't thought about it this way before, but you could say that almost every avocation or interest has a uniform, even if it isn't a formal one.
