I have a Stamped Norinco MAK-90. I've never modified anything on it since buying it new.

I've been reading up on 922 and I think I have it figured out but I want to make sure.

If I wanted to install ATI's strikeforce package (this) the stock and hand guard are US made (so that would count as 2 compliance parts).

If I installed a US trigger group (like Tapco's for example), that would give me 3 more for a total of 5, and I would then be 922r compliant so I wouldn't have to worry about what mags I used?

What throws me off is the make of the pistol grip, and that some threads I read say you need 5, and some say you need 6 for compliance parts. From what I can figure the 6 is only required if I wanted to add a muzzle attachment. And I only need 5 compliance parts if no muzzle attachment.

Do I have this figured out correctly?

If you replace the entire stock with a U.S. made one (including a U.S. made pistol grip) and add the Tapco FCG you are good to go. IIRC you only need to replace 6 parts if you have a threaded barrell. But... MAKs have some differences. Is your receive angle or straight cut? Angle cut is a problem. Also, the MAK receivers are thicker so you will likely have to do some hand fitting.

Thanks for confirming I had it right guys.

I know it's a question that has been asked a bunch.
