So not sure if this is the right place but looking for help on a revolver my uncle picked up at auction today. Advertised and bought as Colt SAA .45LC and I'm looking it over for him and the barrel is plugged and has what looks discs halfway down the chambers in the cylinder. Barrel has Colt stamping on top. Any ideas or where I would go to ask? I have attached pictures

It does appear to be an original SAA blackpowder-framed revolver which has been de-activated in accordance with British law. I have seen a very nice factory nickle-plated centerfire cartridge conversion Colt 1862 Pocket Navy revolver which had been de-activated in exactly the same way for that reason. It was enough to make a stone cry.

It says that one was sold on ebay and this was bought from an estate, but I have no idea if serialization on these was a thing or if it was just a generic serial number. So maybe?

I looked again at that listing that was linked, I can't find the original ebay listing, however that is the exact piece as the scratch on the right side behind the cylinder is the same.
