Connection between Firearms and Smoking

Scary thing is: If there was a NSA (national smokers association) like there is an NRA none of this legislation would have passed since they would have had a lobbying group.

Smokers don't have a national lobbying group? ;)

If you choose to harm your self than I should have the choice of whether I want to inhale second hand smoke or not!

There are jurisdictions that have banned smoking inside almost evey public place except bars that have very high CCW rates (Knoxville, TN) and there are jurisdictions that have low rates that limit CCW very much. I don't think you're going to find anything but anecdotal information and prejudiced opinion if you don't perform the research yourself.

As to shooters being more prone to be smokers than the general public, not from where I sit. I know no shooters that are cigarette smokers.

As to the assumption that CCW holders are more likely to be former military, again not in my experience and I don't know how in the world you'd find out. You may just want to post a poll about whether CCW holders here at THR have military service records to find out and run another poll to find out if CCW holders here smoke. Not scientific, but as close as you're going to get.

This one is now turning into bickering over smoking so it's done.
