Considering an IOR scope; what mount?

Since the MK4 Leupold's run $1300-1400, I was looking at the $800 IOR Valdada 10x42mm scopes, with the MP-8 reticle that looks very useful.

Anyways, would this two piece mount fit a remington 700?

What is the difference between a long and a short action?

Also, would the mount fit a Savage Arms 11F?

Are there better mounts for that particular IOR optic out there?
thanks!

A short actioned rifle is typically chambered for a cartridge of the 308 or smaller classes.

The mount you linked to is a fine mount. Don't forget the rings you need.

You will be happpy with the IOR scope. I love mine.
