Yep... it's generally considered a close range rabbit round 50yds or so.

I certainly wouldn't consider using one, but your mileage may vary.

I say shoot them with whatever you have in your hand at the time. I've got a buddy who's killed tons of them with a .32 H&R Ruger Blackhawk.

Most any gun used for deer would be more than suitable for coyotes. Where I'm from everybody who hunts coyotes just use their deer rifles.
