:fire: Here is an "artist" who gives special shoes to illegal aliens illegally crossing the border to live and work here illegally.:cuss: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4445342.stm

The shoes include a compass, a flashlight, pain medicine, a map...

Werthein dismisses complaints that she is aiding and abetting illegal immigrants.

She argues she is just provoking an important discussion. The real incentive for illegal immigrants, she says, is Americans' demand for cheap labour.

Hmmmmm....Well, if we substituded a compass that points south, a flashlight with bad batteries and some Ex-Lax pills, hold it-I'm getting an idea...

Maybe my title isn't interesting enough. I figured this would be more controversial around here. :uhoh:

Seems to me she is actively assisting in crime.

That's one incentive; other's include free rent, free welfare checks, free food stamps, free education, automatic U.S. citizenship for illegal alien babies, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I'm still waiting for someone to offer "All American harvested" food brands. Should be a big success, since I'm sure everyone who rags on illegal immigrants will line up to pay the higher prices, thus putting all those criminal companies in farming out of business.

Until then, if you buy American produce you're knowingly doing just as much to encourage illegal immigration as this lady is.

I would pay more to buy American. I try to buy American now, but there's hardly anything left that was designed and built in America.

She is.

What controversy? Everyone agrees with you. :D

Nonsense. When I buy organic produce, and pay more like I would willingly do to expell illegals, I don't know who picked the produce just as I don't know if the guy who works for the landscaper is legal or not. This woman knows they're illegal and encourages it, sorry but we're not equivilant.

Glocker,

I was talking only about the result that we know will follow, not specific acts of aid. Sure, maybe you don't like the idea of your money going to illegals...but you know that's what is going to happen with it if you buy food in the U.S. And I'd say paychecks are a lot bigger help to illegals than some ridiculous shoe.

Conspiracy to Violate Immigration Laws?

The Bush administration does not enforce Immigration Laws. Does that mean it is part of the conspiracy?

you have much to learn on the issue...they are not illegal immigrants...they are illegal aliens...immigrants want to become US citizens...transportation is the major cost of produce not labor...and the prices would be adjusted by the decrease in having to pay for the illegal aliens health..education & welfare benefits...

and if you have a DOOR on your house or apartment...you prove my point.

We still have a few “All American” farmers in the states. Besides, the food industry is only a small fragment of a larger problem, although we could save billions of tax dollars if we allowed our farmers to produce crops.

Why should we pay farmers to produce nothing when we have ablebodied people on welfare that could be working the fields?

Big Brother is watching

Humm I wonder if we could get some of those government tracking chips and have them installed at the factory, then we could track them and send them back, they would never figure it out. Each time they cross the border zap.
