Contender vs. Encore grip angle

I am just wondering. Thompson makes note of the more preferable ergonomics of the Encore and G2 versus the Contender. Specifically, I think they mean a difference in the grip angle. If any of our fellow Thompson owners can allow, what difference is there, if any? I am weighing out getting one or the other.
