Controlling all firearms like machine guns

IF guns had been registered w/ MGs since '34, it would have been a lot easier to ban them by now...

Everyone is going to have to make some serious choices and decisions...

Mark my words, unless something drastic happens...the U.S. will not exist 'as is' in 2-5 years from now.

To the OP:
Are you promoting the idea of imposing Class III restrictions on all weapons?

That would effectively destroy the firearms industry as we know it, end all private-party transactions, and drive the costs of guns through the roof.

He said he's not promoting anything. I think it's more along the lines of a "know your enemy" type of thing.

I thought I would point out that in a few states this is already the case.

Permission from local police, discretionary issuing of permits and licenses. Extensive background checks that allow them to deny ownership or carry even without a prohibiting crime. Just because they feel like it.
Some even have fees and costs that you could view as similar to the $200 tax of NFA items.

So at the state and local level in some areas this is already the case.
