I'm looking for a paddle holster for my Springfield 1911 Champion that is:

1.) Convenient on and off

2.) Cheaper (but won't be hard on my pistol)

I need a holster that I can throw own (OWB - Outside the Waistband), ride to work, and take off once I get to work. And then the reverse when I leave work. And that's it.

So I'm not looking for a super comfortable, concealable holster.

I was thinking a Yacqui paddle, but I don't want to spend $79. However, I don't want a cheap Fobus that will scratch up my pistol either.

Any suggestions?

i used a Fobus paddle for just this used before i retired.

i'd carry my duty Sig 220/226 or Beretta 92/96 to work and take it off in the lockerroom before work and reverse the process on the way home...i think i paid <$20 for each one (i have serveral). it works really well for taking out the garbage cans and a quick run to the store too.

when i want more security in a holster, i like the like the Blackhawk CQC w/Serpa lock...this is also the holster i use when teaching

Let me suggest and recommend a Blade-Tech paddle holster. The pic is of the part of the holster that faces your body. Note that there are adjustments for cant and belt width. The paddle is wide, light, and strong and keeps your weapon close to your body. I carry a heavy handgun with mine and it provides outstanding support and concealment. Price is $63.00.

usmarine...The G & G Yaqui Slide is not that difficult to remove from a belt. Undo belt, slide holster off, redo belt. But you want a "paddle" Yaqui Slide...Pay the bucks then...Darn Marines anyway.:D
