6. Install sear and spring and sear retention pin. (normally, you'd have to remove the sear pin, sear spring, and sear.. but the 96D centurion I did this to didn't have one).

7. Install hammer and strut

8. install action bar

9. install grips
if you need a vid...

10. re-assemble slide and frame.

After this I suggest you function test. Everything was a drop in fit. SA is nice and crisp, but there is some slack to take up. The DA is right as rain like on the normal D.

Things i'd do different
1. use a spur or skeleton hammer.. I got a bobbed one.

7.

thank you for posting this, i have been thinking about converting my 96D.
are these parts for a 92? and do you have the part numbers that i can use for mine?
thanks, Jim

Hammer M92/M96D 913-100-549 (Id recommend getting a different hammer.. this one has the same profile as the 96D, and doesnt allow you to thumb it back)

Pin, Sear 92All Mod, 8000 Series - 913-100-520

Spring, Sear C90 Series F/G - 913-100-507

Sear, 92SB/92S, 8000 Series F/G - 913-100-510

thank you very much, just ordered the parts/
ordered the 913-100-494 hammer
Thanks, Jim

just got my sear in today, got the gun all back together and works great!!!!

thanks Jim

Just curious, since the D series slide has no safety/decock provision did you replace the slide? If not, might want to consider doing so.

Just saying.....

striker, why replace the slide. I have as many safeties as a glock.. a firing pin block.

I decock the same way as I decock with the 1911 or a SA revolver. I'll thumb it down if it hasn't been cleared. Once I have it halfway down.. I release the trigger, which drops the fp safety back in place. The only time its cocked, is after I've cleared it, or after I've loaded it. If I've loaded it.. I'm at the range. If I've just cleared it.. I point in a safe direction and pull the trigger. Don't see a reason to decock in all reality.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a frame safety mounted (either retrofit a taurus one, or one from a brigadier).

Besides.. this is a range gun.. I don't carry it. I'm allowed to shoot till lock at every range I go to.
