Converted Saiga

So my buddy is selling his AKs and one is a converted Saiga, in 7.62x39. He added the pistol grip, compliance kit (G2 trigger) and a Galil type fore grip.He is asking $600 for the entire rifle. I assume it comes with at least one 10 rounder.

I wasn't really planning on buying a rifle like this anytime soon, but how does that price sound for an already converted Saiga? I probably won't end up buying it as I don't have any legitimate need for a rifle like that, and I have other expenses, but I am curious.

if he did stock, pistol grip, trigger group, fore grip it's a decent deal. now just add a bullet guide and modify the mag catch and you can use any cheap AK mag you come across rather than Saiga specific mags.

You're also paying for his time (assuming he did the conversion), and for that I'd make sure he did it right. This can be difficult to ascertain, but if you can, the price seems reasonable in today's market.

thats not too much more than what they used to cost with the original foregrip. Make sure he did it right and you have a decent deal.
