IF you were of a mind to CC a glock 34 what means and equipment would you recommend to a tall skinny guy 6'-3" 190# bearing in mind this is more for rural/outdoors use than urban social work

My fobus paddle holster isn't going to cut it for this handgun.

just curious, but why such a large gun for CONCEALED carry?...what do you normally carry that you think will not cut it for cooler weather carry?

why not just carry that OWB w or w/o extended mag...I feel like the G34 would be really annoying when trying to sit down...same reason nobody CC's long slide 1911s

Well I mentioned outdoors rural use. It's because in those situations the handgun in question may see some improvised target shooting (think jeep club) as well as when woods bumming be legal to have to use on critters of opportunity in wma's that be the letter of the law are rimfire only but provide a loophole for ccw weapons. To remain legal I need to be concealed but probably not to the level I would be at say walgreens on a Tuesday

Suffice to say shots may be longer and need more precision in a much less serious situation than my EDC pf9 can provide.

seems reasonable...but at least in our WMA's centerfire handguns are allowed during small game season for hogs and such

Id much rather have a short barrel 10mm than a long barrel 9mm...the last hog i shot with a 9mm wasnt a big fan of dying quickly

Oh a full sized 10 or 45 glock is on my to get list. It's not JUST hogs although they are to be shot on site by any means at hand according to the AGFC. There are other things as well that might need a killing not to mention that should a jeep trip go really wrong a full sized target high cap handgun would make a fairly handy survival arm.

I wonder if this may be one of the rare instances where I would be well served with a shoulder holster?

in the past I've just thrown my pf9 in the inside chest pocket of my carhartt jacket in a pocket holster, that seems to work well...i feel like your g29 would prob shine in that carry mode

I discovered something today.

Using a back brace as a large belly band holster I can Velcro this glock in one of the tension straps in an iwb position and it absolutely DISAPPEARS

I thought I would take the time to toss an update out.

Since posting this thread I've purchased a "crossbreed style" Parker holster to use primarily with my glock 32 (compact). However I increasingly find myself using it to carry my glock 34 (long slide)

Once holstered up I have a hard time distinguishing one handgun from the other and they both conceal so well the only attire change I've made is to wear an undershirt.

Thanks for your help fellas!
