I spent yesterday at the range with my new Cooper. I was able to get 20 rounds thru the MTV per my usual barrel break-in process. The wind had picked up by the time I started trying to shoot for groups. The MTV wasn't too fond of the 32 gr V-Max but it did seem to like the 39 gr Sierra BlitzKing. I wish the Hunting Shack had the 32 gr Sierra BlitzKing ammo in stock when I placed my order.

My last two 3 shot groups were .55" and .39" at 100 yards using the 39 gr BKs. I was happy with these since the wind was causing the target stand to sway. I started out both of these groups with the first two shots touching then I threw the last shot. %^$#@! When you are that close to a half-inch, or under, with factory ammo, things are on your side.I plan on reloading soon so with a little luck I feel that this Cooper is capable of 1/8" groups if I do my part.

The Cooper's bolt action was very smooth. The trigger break was light and crisp. It had virtually zero copper fouling which allowed for an easy clean up between shots.

I can't wait until my next range trip with it so I can get there early before the wind. I'll see what she really can do. I'm sure that I can shrink these groups even using the factory ammo. I am going to call the Hunting Shack and see if they have run any 32 gr BK lots yet.

Everyone needs to own at least one Cooper Arms rifle. It is the total package as far as accuracy, funtionality and beauty.

I have a Cooper Jackson Squirrel Rifle in .17 Mach II. A superb shooter and a real looker. Does a great job on Fox, Coon and Crows. Have to wait a couple of months for squirrel season. I have a Model 22 on order in 6.5-.284, in the phoenix model. :)
