Cop shot another cop at MN gun show

Negligent. There is absolutely NO way this went down as reported. What "appears" accidental about it? Did he modify his holster exposing the trigger,or was his "booger hook on the bang lever". Keep in mind, the network reporting this is one of the more liberal in MN, since it involved a cop, the spin will be favorable. And quickly swept under the rug. What do you suppose would happen if it were someone else at the show?

Before I watched the video I thought it was probably while clearing one of the guns coming in. I have seen some officers at the check table that have no clue how to safely clear some of the guns that come in.

Also +1 someone getting shot is not normally funny.

My take on it is that the media is always trying their best to make cops look bad. With the witnesses that said they saw him leaning back in his chair and gun went off, you would think someone would have seen him do something negligent and if they did you know someone would have been chomping at the bit to discredit a cop. I would like to know what kind of holster he was wearing so that I can be sure to never have one.

I wanna know what holster to avoid, so I don't lean back and have a firearm "go off on me." Someone's safety training sucks, and they paid for it. Onward and upward.

OK as dial up/no vidio. Was he wearing his duty belt? Reading story its sounds like BS. I have a variety of holsters. Guns have NEVER gone off in holster. A duty retention holster should be even safer (unless they stick fingers in them)

Like everyone else, I'm really not sure how someone getting accidentally shot is good.

Who knows, may he had one of those recalled Serpa holsters.

Since we have nothing to go on aside from this news report I'm going to shut this one down as it seems to have been started as a cop bashing thread and who wants to ruin their Saturday night with one of those? :)
