I recently finished an AR build using a Shilen 20" SS match barrel, .223 Wylde chamber. First time I used a high end match barrel in a build.
It now has about 150 rds through it. The two times I cleaned the barrel, (aside from minimal break in) I did not get any copper fouling out of the barrel.
That is, the patches never turned blue / green. I use Shooters Choice which is a copper cleaner. Are high end match barrels so nicely finished inside that they don't copper foul? Or copper foul so little that it is negligible?
Accuracy is superb as in 3/8 ~ 7/16" 5 shot groups @ 100 yds.
