Cops shoot/kill 17 year old boy

Carjack Suspect Dies In Exchange Of Gunfire With Police

NEW ORLEANS -- A 17-year-old carjacking suspect was killed overnight Wednesday in an exchange of gunfire with New Orleans police officers.

Officers said they spotted Stephone Washington swerving in and out of traffic in a sport utility vehicle and chased him. Washington crashed into a parked car and fled on foot.

Investigators said Washington fired at two officers during the foot chase in the 1600 block of Lesseps. One of the officers returned fire, killing him.

Police said the SUV Washington was driving was carjacked on Nov. 2. New Orleans Police Department spokesman Capt. Marlon Defillo said detectives plan to interview the 20-year-old female vicitm in that case to determine if Washington was involved.

Investigators said Washington had a criminal record that included aggravated battery and armed robbery.

Sigh, once again the Police failed to reach a disadvantaged child who probably had ADD/ADH, EBD, etc...
Mark my words, Mom or some community mouth peice will get more press than the victim of the car jacking who's life was threatened at gun point.

Yes Kobun, he is a boy until that magical age of '18', when every boy becomes a man. Unless he becomes a VPC statistic, then he is a 'child' until after the age of '25'.:fire:

"Young Adult" or "teenager" would have been more appropriate. "Genetic waste" would have been much more appropriate. Nothing like adding a little bleach...

Agreed!

but the Media Like Buzz Words & anything that can make something sound like bad news even if it may be good news....

At least this pea brain wont be doing any more of his sweet little kid pranks.

But wait, since he was only 17 and had a felony record, how could he get guns? I'm confused!

The leftists tell us if we just crack down on the gun shops, criminals can't get guns.

You mean he could just buy them illegally? Why, I never.

Please note the reporter does not use the term "boy," but the reporter does mention the perp's past. And you think the media is biased? Sounds like a straight ahead news story to me.

Hope they got him before he had a chance to breed.

The way things are nowadays, though, I doubt it.

Oh, but we 18 year olds are but half-men until the OTHER magical age of 21. Then we can buy 380ACP, handguns, and beer in addition to our 50BMG, cigs, and 12 guage slugs!

A soldier being questioned on one of the documentaries about Somalia and Blackhawk stuff was asked how it was that he could shoot women and children and his reply was something along the lines of, "You shoot at anyone shooting at you and even little kids shoot AK47s." In short, he was saying that you shoot to the threat.

Assuming the article is correct in the information presented, the cops shot to the threat. End of story. Sure enough, it is a shame that the threat was a 17 year old apparent felon who attempted to murder the cops. In the grand scheme, that is all extraneous information. Shoot to the threat and stop the threat. A dead threat has usually been stopped. There is that business about mummies and zombies, but I'll save that discussion for the SHTF scenarios.

Criminal conduct carries with it certain risks. One of those risks is a confrontation with the police. The 17 year old knew what he was doing and paid the price. He's rehabilitating right now through reincarnation.

The more hazardous we make violent crime as a career, the better off society will be. So shoot back, people! ;)

and since he had a criminal record the officers involved probably knew him from previous arrests, thus adding another 'kid killed by someone he knew' statistic.
