Cost of rebarell SW 64

what's the feasabality & rough cost of rebarrelling a 4" #64 to 2"-2/12"? (project gun is stainless) I know Numrich has 3" tubes for +100; can a shorter one be put on if the cyl. rod is cut? thanks

I believe the only shorter barrel is 2 inches. If you change to the two inch barrel you may have to change the ejector rod for a shorter one. If you go with the 3 inch barrel you can use the same ejector rod as on the 4 inch.

what it looks like (on Numrich site) . I guess a 3" tube ain't that bad, since it's mainly for my wife's HD use; I want to put laser grips on it later & maybe a tritium front sight. thanks

Well, pa'don me for protrudin' but what will your wife gain at home by shortening the barrel? I'd think the money better spent on practice ammunition.

you're absolutly correct, however I'd have to call her Barney Fife if she carried a 4" bbl wheelgun when she gets her ccw. pm
