I recently bought a cougar and am having trouble.
I have fired about 150 rounds through it. First time out 100 rounds of Remington, and 50 rounds of the same the second time.
Problem, ammo hangs up going in to chamber it tries to load but does not load all the way. sometimes it appears to load i pull the trigger and no "bang" nothing in the barrel.
Is it just the ammo or something else. I am not the only who has fired it, same things has happend to those who were with me.
Any help would be welcomed.
I researched several 9mm before buying and had seen where others have had flawless performance from their cougars.

try a different magazine from what your describing it sounds like bad mag to me possibly a weak recoil spring my 1911 used to partialy chamber and if you pressed the back of the slide it would chamber fine but it just had a weak spring also did you clean it really good before you shot it could be crud in the chamber

Lube it, they don't like being run dry.
