A coworker brought along his Taurus M85 on our last range trip. His M85 is identical to mine, though his still thas the hammer spur and is also single action. I found that I could shoot his revolver far more accurately than I could shoot my double-action only M85 which has a concealed hammer.
I've had this revolver for around 10 years but never could shoot it well due to it's long and heavy (though quite smooth) DA trigger pull. This revolver isn't carried for CCW any longer, so I'm not concerned with the spur snagging anything upon drawing.

I'm now wanting to convert my Taurus M85CH to a traditional DA/SA if possible. I'm hoping all that's needed is a Taurus 85 spurred hammer to replace the concealed hammer on my M85CH. Hopefully all that's keeping my M85CH from SA mode is the lack of an SA sear notch or something along those lines that a replacement hammer might have.

Does this sound feasible? I plan to call Taurus to see what's what, unless I find here that this conversion is simply not possible for whatever reason.

Thanks in advance!
