what clubs are you shooting at,and what alias did u pick?
I'm not getting to too many shoots these days, too busy trying to make ends meet and all,but maybe we'll meet on the trail one of these days.
Throckmorton is the alias.
Glad u got into rloading, can't afford to shoot .45colt ammo buying over the counter stuff.whoooee, big bucks !

Throckmorton,
I have been trying to make it every month, sometimes twice. We go to Snoqualmie Falls sometimes too. My alias is CMdan. Most shoots I attend are in Marysville.

I'm loving every minute of it so far.

Thanks everyone!
I see some mighty nice rigs on here. Thanks for posting the pics.

The 1878 Sharps Borchardt gets no respect.

Yep, it gets no respect but, where I shoot, the "judges" have declared that they indeed have seen a hammer on the Borschardt and it is indeed an external hammer. It is just an invisible hammer, made from Unobtainium and kitten spit. So, the judges at my side matches have declared that it is a hammer model...

Very rare, ya know.

Actually, I have only used it a couple times in a side match. No one cared and it just never became an issue. If I was to go to a "real" match, I would switch to the Shiloh.

Anyone do 'mounted' cowboy shooting?

I see there are a few people on here from WA ST. I'm interested in getting into cowboy mounted shooting and it looks like the nearest club is in Hermiston, OR.

Is anyone a member of that club or do any of you do mounted shooting?

I've got everything I need except the appropriate gun and the leather. I think my horse would be good at it and I can get him used to the balloons this winter.

I'd like to find events/practices closer to me in Snohomish County, or people to haul with if everything is down in OR.

I hope to hear from ya'll, even if you just want to put me in touch with folks that you know that do the mounted shooting.

Thanks.

There were some advertisements for mounted cowboy over in Bermerton, WA. I think it was on craigslist.com somewhere.
