I've been a bird and varmint hunter for awhile, and this year I was suppossed to get into Deer hunting (baby due during deer season...).
Here in Utah, there is no season on Coyote. I'm considering getting into it to hone my skills and just because it sounds fun.
Any suggestions on books or videos that will be helpful in techniques? also, I'd like to keep pelts if I actually get some...but I've never skinned one. Any suggestions on books or videos for skinning one? Is it anything like skinning a cat? :neener:

Coyotes are easy to skin. a little trick is to use an air compressor and a footbal needle. Make a little nick in the hide, insert the needle, pinch to seal, and inflate to seperate the hide from the carcass. might have to repeat in a couple different places. a little work with a sharp knife and it comes right off. (works real good on turtles too)
