Cracked feed lips on Orlite AR15/m16 mags

I have a couple of 30 round Orlite magazines that I have received as gifts. They are both in used condition and have the same problem of having a crack that starts at the right angle formed by the vertical and horizontal edges of the cutout for the magazine follower's bolt stop tang on the left side of the body.
I have tried using a cyanoacrylate glue on the crack of one of the mags, but the crack opens up again after I load cartridges into the magazine (after waiting a day for the glue to harden of course).
Is there another type of glue to use, or can I get replacement magazine bodies, or should I just consign these to range or spare parts use?

I have some Orlites that work well and do not have cracks-yet. I seriously doubt if they are repairable. I would use them for range till they quit working and then for parts.

Don't know anythig about plastics, but cyanoacrylate glue never worked on my broken eyeglasses. I recently saw a glue that comes in a little tube that claims to be formulated for all plastics like eyeglass frames and such...saw it Ace right next to the Super Glues...

Epoxy and Super-Glue are both just that, Glue. You need a model glue that actually melts and fuses the two parts. I think the ingredients you should look for are Toulene and MEK. MEK is not used anymore in model glues, but you should be able to find it someplace.

As a note, I am almost positive that there is a steel mesh insert where the magazine is cracked for reinforcement purposes. What I'm trying to say is that your mags probably won't just break altogether any time soon. Orelites should cost less than $15 and you can get used GI's for that price also. M-16 magazines were designed to be essentially disposable anyhow. Not that they are, but that was the intent of making them so cheaply.
