Wildyams,

Are you also a member of The Corvette Forum? Seems there is a rash of such accidents involving Corvette owners and their firearms. Happened to me too…crossing The Sound one day, when a sudden storm blew in, and…you know the rest.

CFOT member here :)

What kind of red dot do you have on that Mark III 22/45. I have been wanting to buy one but do not know anything about red dots. It looks like one from the Cheaper Than Dirt magazine. Just let me know what it is and how you like it. Thanks

SkyDriver, a few of questions, if you don’t mind:

The 45ACP Family: Who makes those long barrel 1911s? (muzzle down in the center of the photo.) The slides look longer than the standard 1911; do they weight more than a standard slide?

The 22LR Family: Is that an AK derivate on the right, with the bipod? The mag looks too big for 22LR; is there a block in the mag to take up space?

SBR Family top and bottom, HK Family bottom center: Are any of those MP5?

Thanks in advance for any info you care to share about your fine collection.

The 45's are the AMT Long Slide Hardballer on Kimber Polymer hi-cap frames, they are 7" with a 1" compensator ... they weigh considerably more and are great for shooting bowling pins!

The AK is a Romanian RPK Trainer, and it does have a 22lr mag inside of an AK mag body.

The "MP5" in the HK Family and SBR family are actually the same gun, just before and after the SBR stamp ... the gun is a Cohaire Arms and it runs perfectly with HK factory mags.

Where did you get the HBAR for your steyr?
I've had it for about 7-8 years, picked it up from Pete Athens (www.pjs-steyraug.com) when he was blowing them out for $650 ... He had a bunch of GSI inventory that he was selling crazy cheap.

SkyDriver, I love the Crown Royal bag on your FN 5.7 PS90? :)
Thanks ... it will hold a few more shells than the factory brass catcher but doesn't have the easy empty feature so I didn't keep in on there very long ... I was wanting to use it on the AR57 but couldn't find a way to attach it and decide I would get it to fit on something!

Here's some of the cache from the SS Thistlegorm.

Those are SMLEs on the left, some still in their six-packs. I think that there are some Thompsons mixed in on the left, on top of the Spitfire wing.

Do these count as "caches?"
