I want to get into metallic silhouette handgun shooting and I was wondering if there is any place that makes/sells blast shields for your leg when shooting Creedmoor position? Failing that - does anybody have any good recommendations for making your own blast shield?

Use thick, but soft-ish leather. Velcro the edges together.

If you knees/body will allow it, try the dead chicken. Pretty much a Creedmoor with you knees laid over and ankles pulled in towards your butt.

You put the stock in your knee-pitt and you trap the grip against your leg.

I almost made it 1,000 targets straight. I had a ringer last summer and now I am trying again.

Traditional Creedmoor I cant shoot more than 50-60 targets half scale before I miss. Its just not stable enough, for me.

Thanks Hoser - I think I already experimented with the Dead Chicken (do others call it the Dead Frog?) using the floor mat from my truck. I've got an inner tube and I think I'll use leather over that (for the layer next to the gun). I'm kinda surprised nobody makes stuff like this.

BTW - 1000 straight is pretty wild. Ringer or not.
