I have a .22 Crickett rifle for my daughter and just started having a problem with it. It has about 1200 rounds through it and is a year old. Yesterday I took her shooting and when you would pull the bolt back the extractor would let go of the rim. It didn't matter if you pulled the bolt slow or fast. So last night I clean it up make sure that the chamber is clean and smooth and clean the extractor the extractor push rod and the spring. Today same crap. the extractor lets go of the rim. I did notice last night that it looks like there is a groove forming on the barrel just above the chamber from the 12:00 to 3:00 position, looks like part of the extractor is making contact and causing this quarter ring around the chamber. anyone got any ideas, gonna call the manufaturer tomarrow.

well, for $90, i'd just buy a new one. they're great little rifles. but, i suppose the company would sell you a replacement bolt

Just got off the phone with Keystone Sporting Arms, the manufacturer of the Crickett rifle. They are issuing a call tag to have it picked up and shiped back so they can fix it. No hassel no problems so far.

Just got my daughters rifle back. They said it was a bur in the chamber that was causing the problem. Keystone is great to deal with. UPS on the other hand smashed the box and now the rear sight is bent flat :cuss:

Thats darn good service and a pox on UPS. Will the sight bend back with out breaking off?

I called UPS and filed a claim for the rear sight, so I can't bend it back for atleast 5 days, thats how long UPS has to come inspect it. It looks like I might be able to bend it but it is creased so it might snap off. I'm gonna call Keystone in the morning and give them a heads up, I'm sure they will just send a replacement.
