CRIMSON TRACE GRIPS for the EMP!

EMP owners, if interested in having a set some day, please post a request here urging Crimson Trace to produce grips for the EMP! I have a set on my Browning Hi-Power and they are outstanding all around.

Wouldn't standard CTC Officer Size Laser Grips work? I've seen them on Colt defenders and New Agent's.....

M203, I asked the folks at Crimson Trace about that and they said no - perhaps its the ambidextrous safety difference?

I read on the Crimson site 1911 section that they offered a special safety for use with 1911 Compacts and thought that would work for the EMP. Jon, from Crimson, posted his response to my forum query here:

No the bobbed safety won't help the EMP fit. The grip requires significant changes that will actually compromise fit and finish of the grip. The screw spacing is correct, but the distance from the front strap of the gun to the back strap of the gun changed. It will cause problems with the front activation.

Oh well, spread the word to get more requests in to them.
