Hey folks, I put this tactical lite on my wish list from the Ruger Store. Its made in the U.S.A. by Crimson Trace. I was excited to receive it under the tree but finally just had the chance to put it on my Ruger BSR40c. Its a bit bulky and wider than the pistol itself. This is my carry piece but it no longer functions as such with the light attached. Don't get me wrong, the light is very impressive and I was astounded at the quality and functionality. Just don't get the point as it makes the pistol harder to conceal and no longer fits my holster. What do most folks do about this? I looked around on the internet and didn't really find anything that appeared to be any smaller.
I may sell it for reloading components...
Thanks for your time,

There are a few options open to you. You can keep the light on the Ruger and turn it into a home defense weapon. Sell the light. Or get a new holster.

A few holster companies make holsters that fit weapons with lights/lasers. Most of the cheap nylon companies (BLACKHAWK etc) make a "universal holster" with "universal" rail space for accessories. These are usually OWB holsters and not suited for CC or IWB.

The only company that I know for sure that makes custom holsters for firearms with accessories is White Hat Holsters. They don't have a dropdown option for the Railmaster light but their CS is pretty good and will work with you if they can make it for your Ruger.

thanks for your time, Ehtereon! much appreciated.
I'm going to sell it. I am not willing to give up the concealment factor of my carry pistol for the light. Though, I do like it.
