So I have this Van Hoy Snap Lock knife that has seen better days - I'm missing the thumb stud and the blade has a bad nick.
I called CRKT today in order to find out what it would cost me to replace the thumb studs and service or replace the blade.
I spoke with a very polite and chipper sounding woman named Ivy, who advised me that the thumb stud assembly would be covered under warranty and she took my information down - that stuff along with a new set of teflon washers will be here within 1-2 weeks at no charge to me!
She further let me know that if I'm unable to sharpen the nick out of the blade that I can send it in to them, and they will either get the nick out for me or replace the entire knife at no charge to me.
I've got to say, it's refreshing to get old-school customer service from one of the larger knife makers in our "disposable" society.
Once the parts get here and I reassemble the knife, I'll post up a "finished" pic
