Crockpot parkerizing?

Anyone ever use a crockpot?
I wonder if the ceramic bowl would hold up?
Sams has a giant oval shaped one with a dial type temperature control for $35.00 . Looks like any reciever you could come up with would fit inside.
Seems like a perfect dedicated little unit to use, but will the bowl hold up?
Any thoughts?

If it gets hot enough to do the job the ceramic bowl will hold up forever if you don't drop it & break it.

I do not think it would get hot enough. Quickly enough. I can start from a cold bath and get parts finsihed in 30 minutes on the stove. A crock pot if it got hot enough might take all day.

The dial goes up to 190 if I remember correctly.

If it will deliver that, you are just inside the low end (185) for the working temperatures of the solutions I have used.
