I've been thinking about getting this holster for a while and wanted to see what experience others have had with it. I've searched a bunch and want to focus specifically what others think about getting the combat grip cut.

1. Does it make it considerably more uncomfortable?
2. Does it change concealability?
3. Did you personally love/hate the combat grip cut?
4. I'm 6'1' 240 lbs. Do you think I'll be able to tuck this and conceal a full size firearm? For example, a G17?
5. Is the trigger adequately covered by this holster?

I have one for my glock 36.
I love the combat grip cut a very comfortable holster. And the trigger is completely covered.I am 5'9"and 210 lbs and I were it at 4:00 no problem.

I had it done. That circumcised holster is a teeny bit better than the even bigger POS it would have been without it. Too bad Mark actually charges for something that should be a farkin' FREE option. He still has to make the cut...just zig that way instead of zagging the other way. It ain't that hard Dick, er, Craighead.

I've been using these for 1.5yrs for carry and club IDPA matches without the combat grip and have not noticed any problems with grip. I shoot either a 1911 commander, G21, XD45 or G19. I don't think I need the combat cut for what I'm doing. The trigger is completely covered and I can conceal a G21 @ 3:30 on a 5'7" 250lbs body without tucking the shirt. With the shirt tucked in I can conceal a 1911 commander with any trouble. These are great holsters whether you get the combat grip or not you will be very happy with the holster.
