Not satisfied with a Crossbreed Supertuck?

I just purchased a paddle holster for my Springfield 1911 Champion. (Thanks for your inputs)



Now I'm looking to buy another IWB holster. I'm looking at the Crossbreed Supertuck, but it's an expensive holster.



I was wondering if anyone on her has a Crossbreed Supertuck and is dis-satisfied with it or choose to wear other holsters instead of the Crossbreed now.





Or if you can recommend any other holster that maybe concealable and comfortable for a smaller person. (It doesn't have to be IWB).




I have a Brommeland Max Con V, but it's sorta uncomfortable.



I have a 28" waist and about 118lbs soaking wet, so that might make wearing any holster uncomfortable and hard to conceal. Maybe being smaller there is no holster that will be both comfortable and concealable. I don't know.

Try a kholster for your firearm. They are about half the price of the crossbred. I have both and they are the same comfort level.

I have 2 Crossbreeds, in both horsehide and cowhide.

Out of the 10+ holsters I've tried (Glock 27 and DW CBOB), they are the most comfortable and best value.

Just got mine yesterday in the mail, took less then a week to get. It is awesome. I have a Galco Paddle Light and a Brommeland IWB for this Springfield 4" Champion 1911 but neither are very comfortable.

It's hard for me to get comfortable holsters that are also good at concealing since I'm 5'3, 118lbs and have a 28" waist.



I wore the Crossbreed on a date yesterday and then today and it is awesome. I have shirts that I wore with my Brommeland and you could see the gun imprint, with the Crossbreed you can't see it. And it's extremely comfortable. The Crossbreed is everything I was looking for in a IWB Holster.



My Brommeland was like $120, the Crossbreed was only $60 which is a bargain. You can put in NRA, LEO, or MIL and get a discount on the Crossbreed.


Get the Crossbreed you won't be upset.


So many people have drawers full of holsters that they don't use anymore, luckily I won't have that problem. I love my Crossbreed.

Definitely go with the Supertuck by crossbreed holsters if you want an excellent IWB. I've literally spent hundreds on different IWB holsters. From some of the biggest name brands. They don't even come close to a crossbreed. It may not be the prettiest holster, but it's concealed, so who cares. But it is definitely comfortable. And even with larger guns like the 1911 and Sig P220, they can carry your weapon and make you many times forget you even have it on. I now have 4 crossbreed holsters. I wouldn't even think of a different holster for IWB. And $60 for a holster is definitely not unreasonable. Yet another time where name and price aren't indicative of quality. Given time, I think Crossbreed will be one of the biggest sellers. I'm already starting to see them advertised on the outdoor channel and other sporting channels. As well as in many magazines. Hell, I can't say enough good things about them. They mold the holster for that particular model gun, and then molds the gun to the shape of your body. What more could you ask for with a holster. And they now make the mini-tuck for guns like the LCP, PPK, and similar. Crossbreed is definitely the best IMHO.

Mine tends to dig in a little bit at the bottom, horizontally, but maybe if I was a bigger person that wouldn't be a problem. I know being my size can effect some things.


My chamber port seems to shave off a thin slice of Kydex every time I draw, hopefully that will stop, otherwise I will have a small problem.


Has anyone else ever had this shaving issue?

Mine just came in the mail yesterday. HOLY CRAP the thing is HUGE. My last IWB was an HBE Com3 for my 1911 which is a really nice piece of gear. I haven't worn the Supertuck yet but I already regret not getting the combat cut. I can't get a full combat grip on my G27 with the standard cut. I'll post a better review after I've worn it for a while.

I do this thing with mine where I grab the front strap with my fingers and the top of the rear sight with my thumb, then adjust to a regular grip in the draw.

I'm considering a combat cut on my next one, though.

Actually, if you want a combat cut, you can actually trim the leather a little bit yourself. It is your holster. If you know what you want it to do, you can trim it.

usmarine. glad you like yours. And yes, your size definitely will affect it. Especially the size gun you are using. You'd be surprised how many people buy guns without thinking how it fits them when they aren't holding the gun. I love my 1911A1 (Springfield Armory). Have had it for more than 20 years. And when I was a lot thinner than I am now, it was a very comfortable gun. But as I got older, and wider, I found it to become more uncomfortable. I now have 3 different guns that I carry concealed; depending on my attire, time of year, weather, etc... I still carry a large gun, but it's my SigSauer P220 45acp. About the same size as the 1911A1, except I don't have issues with the safety that I did with the 1911. (Sig is double action and doesn't have a cocked/locked safety system). Which made holstering issues a problem for me. I also carry 60-70% of the time, my CZ-82. It is the perfect concealed gun for me. When dressing in formals or limited clothing, I will carry a PPK 32acp, either in a mini-tuck or an ankle holster. Anyway, each person is different and has to figure out what works for them.

After wearing mine for a while I do have a couple of gripes:

1) I can't put it on without unhooking my belt and my pants - it's just too big.
2) Can't get a combat grip. I'll have to trim the leather.
3) It's wider than it needs to be. It would be just as stable if the hooks were closer to the center.

My HBE Com3, my FIST (POS, stay far away), and the MS VM2 don't have any of these problems. I can slide them into place and hook the loops without having to basically take my pants off, I can get a combat grip, and they aren't nearly as wide while providing the same stability.

The Crossbreed does have a few things going for it though. The wait time isn't bad at all and the price is pretty decent. I'll keep using it for now, but it's certainly not my ideal holster.

I'm able to get mine on with my pants on, but it's work.

I'd like the combat cut, but I've practiced un-holstering and it should be fine without the cut.

It's wide, but it's really comfortable and concealable.


All in all I'm really, really happy with mine and I won't be looking to get any new holster.

The more I wear this thing the less I like it. It is terribly uncomfortable simply due to how large it is. Unfortunately I'm stuck with it for a while since the wait time for a Sparks or HBE is quite long.
