Not sure whether to post this in the rifle category or shotguns, so I'll just go with shotguns.

I was bored and browsing Gunbroker today and I came across a rather strange gun that I had never heard of. It's called the Crossfire and it's a shotgun/.223 combo.

Personally I think it's ugly as sin but it got me wondering, does anyone actually have one of these or have any experience with them? There's a number of them for sale on gunbroker.

I am going to assume the pump activates the shotgun portion of the gun... that is definitiely intersting. Not sure that I like it... let me look again... yup... I Like it... guess I need one.

is it just one shot of 12 gauge? i dont see how it could be a repeater.

Are these still made?

Googled it and found out that they came out in the late '90s. Couldn't find out if they were still in production. I'm interested in these.

Wouldn't it be more practical to put the rifle on top?

Looks like a grown-up version of those .22/.410 single shot rifle/shotgun combos.

I want one!

I have one, the shotgun and rifle both work by pump action and choice is made by the selector on the side of the receiver.

The shotgun magazine is the top part of the stock.

It takes a little getting used to but it does work for the most part. I can't cycle mine in the shotgun mode too fast or it will fail to pick up the next round, and I can't send it to the manufacturer as they have been closed for several years. Doesn't work too well if you're shooting trap or skeet. The trigger pull is probably around 8 pounds in rifle mode but about 4 in the shotgun setting.
