I'm looking at equipping two pistols with a laser. I have a Glock 23 (.40) that is the wife's and I am either going to puchase a Sig P239 SAS (.40) or a Glock 26 (9MM).

I've read a lot about Crimson Trace and Laser Max. Anyone have feelings either way as to which is better and why?

Thanks so much.

Crimson Trace uses a small button on the front of the grip to activate the laser. IOW, it comes on automatically when you grab the pistol. No thinking involved.... grab it, and its on. :)

Lasermax uses a switch mounted on the take down lever. The theory is that the shooter's finger will naturally index on or near that part of the gun. Well, if you need to use a gun, you finger should be headed toward the part that makes it go bang... not the part that puts it into pieces for cleaning. :uhoh:

The Lasermax looks better, though, since it is all contained within the gun... Crimson Trace grips can make it look like your gun grew warts. How important this is depends on whether you're gonna look at it, and fiddle with it at the range, or if you're planning for self defense. (If you own a GLOCK, you obviously don't care about looks! :neener:)
