Lot of great options on that list.

I really like the M&P's for sure...mine have never failed to please me.

I also would like to take a close look at the witness in all steel, I like the weight for range work. Plus side is the EAA site seems to list part numbers that you can actually order from. I'd call that nice.

I know a couple of people with the poly B6Ps and they're pretty darned happy with what they have compared to what they paid.

Keep an eye out for a CZ p-09 or p-07 you may luck up price wise somewhere.

About 2 months ago I went through this exact same process.

I personally don't like striker fire pistols, so that eliminated quite a few.

.

Why do you like a hammer over a striker fired pistol? I have heard people argue the other way, but not in favor of a hammer.

Also, the trigger is a big point for me. I like a nice, light, crisp trigger. What did you do to the B6P to improve it? If it's not a difficult fix, it would be a plus for the B6P. The price is great.

The Shield M&P with the current rebate just can't be beat IMHO. IF you get a bad one (which I have yet ti hear about) they send you a prepaid overnight UPS and it is back in a few days. Forever warranty ! There was a LOT of work went into the M&P line and the 2.0 is really good .

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to triggers, and shot my cousins Glock and didn't really care for the trigger at all.

To improve the SA pull on the B6P('s), I simply removed the hammer and worked the step that is engaged by the trigger sear from a height of .045" to about .025". I did this on both my B6P's and both triggers break at 4 lbs. I could've gone a little further but really didn't see the need.
