I was able to take mine out to the range this week, no scope yet but I couldn't wait to try it out. 200 rounds later of various brand and grain and I'm a very happy camper. No failures to load, feed, eject, or shoot and everything I shot hit paper inside the rings.

The Sig has a very smooth action and felt recoil is on par with my 16ga o/u. I'm glad I waited for the Gen2. Here's a review about the rifle:

Ron,

So do I.
But what I want is rapid fire, 20-30 round mag, good optics for close in, good optics for out to 300-400 yards, ability to suppress noise, and not too heavy.

What fits that bill?

My bolt action rifles might allow me to kill one or two at a time. I want to get 10-12 at a time.

See the dilemna?

Thanks for the help.
Tony

If buying a complete AR in 308 Win, don't overlook POF. They are put together very well, its actually a night and day difference, the down side is that you will pay for it. As a piston driven AR the recoil is nearly zero when turned off which makes it great shooting from a bench.

some people seem to like that camo pattern and it is well done but it makes my eyes hurt. if they could photograph what a guy on an acid trip would see it might be that pattern lol

I paid 950 for a R25 at dicks on sale and after sending it back for chamber polish recrown ejector spring work it shoots like a target bolt gun. my friend has an older armalite with a carry handle and it is not worth half of the price they want for it and uses expensive hard to find mags. mine being a dpms uses much cheaper easy to find P mags
