Custom Grips for 1911

My friend is thinking about buying a gold plated 1911 so he can put the grips from the movie Face/Off on them. I found some gold plated working replicas of the guns from the movie but they are $12,000.

Does anyone know where he can buy just the grips, or have someone make custom grips like the ones from the movie? thanks.

I can't see the grips you are looking to duplicate, but a custom set of www.alumagrips.com might work for you. They can have your art work laser ingraved, and if the stock colors don't match, you can have them re-anodized to what ever you like by a firearms refinisher.
