Hello everyone, I have come upon an opportunity to help someone sell a rifle but I am trying to learn more about it first. It is a Ruger No.3 breach fed rifle but it is chambered in 50-348win. This I know is 50 Alaskan. I also know that this gun was never produced in this caliber and it is a custom build. The rifle has HW CREIGHTON stamped in the barrel which I am assuming is who did the custom work. I have pictures of the rifle and it is gorgeous. I guess what I am wondering is if anyone knows about this custom rifle builder and what something like this is actually worth? Thank you in advance!!!

I owned 2 Ruger No. 3s, one .223, one .22 hornet, neither one shot with even the best optics at the time. I have shot some others in different calibers also, I don't even want to imagine the recoil of a 50 Alaskan in that small a frame carbine. get you a good shoulder pad, some ice packs and the number of a good optician when your retina becomes detached. all said they are beautiful rifles, wish I had mine for the collector value. good luck.

Creighton and Warren was a store in Nashville in the 1970s.
Harry Creighton was the gunsmith and Warren was the wheeler dealer.
Creighton did nice work.

Sorry, I can't guess a resale value, it is a real specialty item.
