these Ishapore Enfield's, they have been rebarreled to .308, were inexpensive, and fairly accurate.:)

Those Ishapore Enfields (Lee Enfield 2A) are not rebarreled they are actually Indian built (ground up) with more modern steels to stand the pressure of the 7.62 X 51 Nato (yes you can shoot .308 in it, I have a 'sportsterized one I got for cheap but shoots well). The bottom gun looks tobe a Gibbs No. 7 "Jungle Carbine" a modified 2A by the Aussies for the U. S. market.

BTW the Brits did rebarrel some of their LEs but into a .308 sniper rifle heavily modified but they go for more like Garand prices :what: .

more like "sniper" garand (M1C,M1D) prices, last L46 (No4 Mk2 with modded stock, adn converted to 7.62) i saw was over $6K then again it was all matching, still in the transport "footlocker" with all (full) contents of crate matching back to the rifle.

Before you invest in a bubba job

SOG will sell you a recent made bubba, from a real No. 5, fitted with a black sporter stock for $259.95. I wouldn't turn a perfectly good collectable rifle into a "sporter". The value of it will rise if you leave it alone... trust me on this. :)
