I'm saving for a customized Special Interest Arms Enfield conversion to 7.62 x 39 rifle. I'm looking at early next year for purchase. So now, I'm dreaming of the options I want on it. Below is what I have come up with so far. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions I may not have thought of? I'm buying parts now.
* custom cut walnut stock- in the pattern of a old single shot shotgun. I will probably have Great American Stock Company cut it & finish it myself.
- I have a nice blank bought to this now.
* Half inch recoil pad
* Some sort of recoil reducer.
I know the 7.62 x 39 is not a hard recoil round. The above two are because I may not be the only one to shoot it in the future and I plan on having it forever. I want to be able to shoot it a 80!
* Twenty two or three inch threaded barrel.
* Cap for protection of threads
* AK muzzle break- take off for normal use
* I may want to use reloaded sabots sometime & can't use a break with them.
* Original rear peep sights
* AK Fiber Optic front sight from APWCOGAN
* Possibly a scott mounted rail. I like the scott set-up.
* Brown moly teflon color over black parkerizing
* Set up for a sling.
Any suggestions?
