Just when all seems dark, a ray of light shows hope for the future of the USA. Cool.

Kid, watch out for college and women. They can bend your brain rather quickly.

Thank you Burt! I am already in college, and there are indeed plenty of people who are misled. As for women, I've never been the kind of man who lets a woman change me. I know what is right and wrong, I know what is good and evil, and I know what this country was founded upon. I've got a stubborn personality, I am open to hearing other people's views but I don't just open the gates for that proverbial Trojan horse. It just feels like I stand alone as far as being my age and having good family values. Yeah I have met a couple fellow conservatives in my age group, but not many. I think I just need to move to Arizona after college and meet some like-minded folk.

I think someday, when I have kids I'll be sure to give them the same upbringing as I had. I think good discipline and knowing right from wrong are what the future generations need. It's what I had, and I consider myself to be very fortunate.

On the subject of cartridge conversions, does anyone know if they make something for inlines? I know revolvers are quite common, but I'd love to see something that converts an inline muzzleloader to .22 LR or .410 maybe, nothing too high pressure. It just irks me that I haven't gotten an inline yet. I think I'll get a CVA wolf or something break open. Now my idea is I could get a .22 caliber barrel with the bore off center, then turn it on my lath to fit the inside of the bore on the muzzleloader with the breech plug removed. Then maybe I could leave the end un-lathed and make it the same diameter as the breech plug. And of course chamber it for .22 LR. So I could essentially just drop the barrel in, put a .22 in there, close it, cock it, fire my round, then remove the case with some kind of homemade extractor! That would be a great combo gun!

The .410 barrel would be easier I bet, I could get just a simple .410 shotgun barrel and turn it to the right diameter. Then I just do the same rim thing and slip in into the barrel from the breech end, that would be sweet. The cool thing is I could shoot slugs with the rifle sights, and shot once I figure out where it hits. Oooh, what about .22 Hornet? That's a centerfire cartridge, I wonder how fun that would be with cast bullets and black powder! Sorry bout' thinking out loud, I tend to do that sometimes.

you know i thought of that a few years ago but never acted on it. It is very well possible to make a screw in adapter that would fit a round in for an inline. i think this would do best in a 45cal. then making an insert that would screw in and accept a 45 colt would be really easy to to. the firing pin is already there that hits the 12 guage primer.

I have thought about doing something similar to your screw-in adapter for .45 Colt, except I was thinking maybe I could make one for a CVA Wolf and make it so I could shoot .500 Smith and Wesson loaded with blackpowder and Minnie balls. That would be the coolest!

Or how about one that fires .38 and .357 Magnum? That would be awesome! I already have a .357 so I figure I have a perfectly good excuse to start handloading. I've never loaded for .357 before or any other smokeless round, heck I haven't fired my .357 yet so the need for more ammo hasn't struck. I just keep it in a safe and secret place in case of emergency, if my other guns are stolen or I'm having another "Levi moment" and lock the gun safe and can't find my keys then I'll at least have a decent firearm.

I know this has gotten way off of rbertalotto's OP but be VEWWY VEWWY (fuddin around here) CAREFUL with inserts that are sub caliber. The ATFE has already deemed that they HAVE to have rifling capable of engraving the bullet or you will be creating an NFA weapon. I ran into this with my pepperbox conversion to centerfire and they don't allow any leeway under the present interpretations.........

if you want to shoot a regular round then the barrel would have to match the round. thats why i think an adapter made from a breach plug. Say an inline 45cal then machining a breach plug to accept a 45colt or 45schofield the bullet would match the rifling and would be able to be shot giving you some kind of accuracy.

I'll tell you a little story from before I outgrew my stupid. It involves a bubba'd mosin and a drill press. The long and short of it is I drilled out the primer pocket on a steel case, and threaded in a nipple. I then ground down the firing pin, and drilled out the FP hole in the bolt face to accomodate said nipple and #11 cap. It was a hoot to shoot with 0 buck. Ahhh, to be young and stupid again. Hell these days I could probably market the conversion to the TEOTWAKI crowd....
