I have 2 bobcat's in .50 cal. With a patched roundball would 70 grs. of 777 be a safe, but effective load for deer out to 75 yds.?

Someone told me that cva got sued sometime ago for their inferior bbls.

So far my CVA Bobcat .50 cal shoots wonderfully & I bought it back in '92.

At the moment due to a shortage in Real Black Powder around here I've started to use 777 FFFG in mine with some pleasant results "I'll continue to use it till I run out since I've gotten a decent supply of the good stuff." :D

With .495 182gr. PRB I've settled on a load of 80gr. 777 & it hits POA at 50 yards & if I remember it'll put meat on the table out to 100 yards with the standard sights on it.

No, Randy Wakeman just wishes they'd gotten sued. CVA apparently had a batch of bad barrels get out, they issued a recall and replaced those on the recall list that people returned. Some folks have never gotten over that.
