I lost my breech plug (intended to mail it out for a BH209 upgrade modification) by leaving it laying around since Covid started and now I can’t find it.

This is from an early 2000s Optima Pro. Long time before the Quick Release breech plugs were out.

I found this on Midway:

I am just making sure I can just buy this and use it? I know Bolts for rifles are fitted to the chamber but I guess because there is no headspace in a muzzleloader replacing this piece is as simple as screwing in and using the new one?

As long as the breech plug resembles your original, then it should fit.
I doubt that they redesigned the Optima's OEM breech plug because the part description doesn't mention that it will only fit some of them.

But if you want to be sure, ask CVA if the part number is correct for your gun.
Contact CVA customer service at 770-449-4687 and have the gun's serial number handy.
Or if you don't want to call then you can email them through their help page. --->>> https://cva.com/help-center/

Snidley70431 made a home made breech plug for his Rossi that accepts primed cartridge cases.
If he can make those then he might be able to make one for you or sell you one of his that's already made.
At the very least he would know what threads the Rossi plug needs.
You need to start a conversation with him to ask if he would be willing to help you out.
Look at this thread where he describes how he made his. --->>> https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...nlines-using-cartridges.846989/#post-11104379

Then click on his name and then click on "Start a Conversation" in the window that pops up.
There may be other places to ask for leads on who makes breech plugs.
But you may need to send in your barrel for fitting whereas Sindley70431 already has a Rossi.

You can also try emailing this outfit to ask if he knows who can make you a new Rossi breech plug: --->>> https://www.arrowheadrifles.com/arrowhead-muzzleloader/

There's other muzzle loading gunsmiths who may be able to do it but it requires making multiple inquiries and possibly sending your gun out.
What state are you in and are there any muzzle loader gunsmiths or ML shops in your area?
