I own a 1873 model black powder by Traditions SA. I am trying to convert it to a 45 long colt.I purchased a Pietta 1873 cylinder,but it want pass into opening of the black powder cylinder. My question is,do I need to file it for fit after I mike it? Or should I send the cylinder back?. I have a new firing pin for the off-set conversion.I would think it would work if I can get it to pass in to the opening. What do you have to say?
